Global Seepej Records 10 Year Anniversary Party! 10 Years of Rock, Roll, and Resistance.

Saturday, December 9th at the legendary Comet Tavern (922 E Pike St, Seattle, WA). 9 pm doors. At the Spine, The Plains, Solyoni and special guests. The first 100 pints of beer will be free!

Global Seepej Records is celebrating 10 years of our efforts to support the many variations of the NW music scene.

GSR was founded in 1996 as a multimedia venue to support musicians, artists, writers, poets, journalists, and filmmakers that support and participate in the struggle for social, economic, and environmental justice.

We may not be the biggest, best, or richest label in town, but we do what we can in a crooked industry with the time and money that we have.

NEWS FOR AT THE SPINE update. US Tour finished, half of 3rd album done, off to London/UK/EU

AT THE SPINE finished our 9 week self financed US tour (where Chris & Mike also played as Colin Spring's backing band). We have recorded and mixed 7 new songs. Mike is in London teaching and working on playing/touring London/UK/EU. If you have any rock contacts to help him, please let him know. GO-KART records of Germany has put the song "Kiss and Remeber" on a new compilation album and they are expecting to press between 20,000 and 80,000 copies. Best wishes for all of you good folks in 2006! - Mike

We have already been on the road for over a month and the welcomed rigors of the road have now become second nature. Our equipment, van, and bodies remain in adequate condition as we head southeast to sample fried food, see the sights, and play for whomever is brave enough to battle the weather. If you live in the area, please come and watch our entirely humble selves perform the music of Mike Toschi and Colin Spring south of the Mason-Dixon.

Tomorrow marks two weeks on the road for At the Spine. So far our shows have been a success and we are all in one piece. Aside from a van breakdown in North Dakota, we have been relatively fortunate. Today we are in Lawrence, Kansas playing Jackpot. If you are in the area or know anyone who is, come check out the show. Thanks for visiting the site, check back every so often for general news and updates on the tour. For more detailed thoughts on the tour from the perspective of our Bass player Matt, visit his tour journal at www.mattdente.com/tourjournal.

At the Spine Tour Send-off Show September 10th at the EMP Liquid Lounge

At the Spine will be braving the gas insanity & hitting the road again for a lengthy self-financed nine week US tour (View Tour Dates). Seattle folks, come say goodbye to us at the EMP Liquid Lounge show on Saturday, Sept 10th. Itís FREE & you never know what may happen to us out on the road. Chris & Mike will also be helping Colin Spring on a few songs during his set that night (& on the tour). We will be last, Colin before us, and there will be sets from Tbasa & Nanomansion (ID) before that.

Other folks: please mark your calendars and come see us on tour, let us sleep in your driveway, buy our merchandise to keep us fed & moving, etc. We look forward to seeing all of you.

It's been a busy year so far for At the Spine. We have regionally released the album First Day of Spring and had a very positive response from fans, press, and independent radio. Amongst a series of great local shows, we've done some northwestern states shows, which gave us a chance to see some old fans and friends and also meet some great new fans. Enormous thanks to everyone for your support.

"Take it to the Red States Tour, 2005." September 15th marks the kickoff of a nine week US tour, returning back to Seattle on November 19th. We will be performing some 66 shows scattered across the continental US of A. We are very excited to be done with some schooling that has largely trapped us here for the last year and a half and get back on the road again (we are less excited about the excruciating price filling the coffers of the oil robber barons in a gas in a van that gets 13 mpg...). For the most up to date schedule, see Shows.

We are happy to be dragging the talented likes of Colin Spring with us on this tour and playing as his backup band when it seems fitting. His new album is an impressive piece of work with and great production and an all star cast of musicians. Visit: www.colinspring.com for more info.

Note: The "Take it to the Red States Tour" is not meant to offend the many wonderful folks in the "red states." We know there are many beautiful folks there, just as there are many right-wing fundamentalist types here in the "blue zone." There are good folks and not so good folks everywhere. On this tour, we are going to be celebrating that and the power of music, while simultaneously joyfully resisting the neo cons and their servants.

Also, thanks to Matt Dente, our new bass player for a much needed revamp and reconstruction of this website!
